Nathan, I appreciate the acknowledgement of your blowoff, but I wonder if you do deem LaBute worthy of more than punchline status. I reckon, without risk of being regarded as a crank, that LaBute is among the top 25 American dramatists of the past 20 years. Does "Wickerman" negate that? Really?

Rabin's fellow willful idiots
I have decided, once and for all, that Rabin is a willful idiot.

I liked the MCR. At first, just made me think I was listening to a good song. Then made me think: this is so good it must be by a great songwriter. Sure enough, it was by Dylan.

Hey, and a second viewing also confirms Patrick Wilson's being so much more than that "hunk" who "looks like a young Paul Newman" and who has a "great ass."

A second viewing only reinforces the suckitude of Ms. Ackerman's contribution. I hope she is taking these remarks to heart, and will, if she continues in pictures, dig deeper for the "goods." Has she considered acting lessons with a tough coach, I wonder?

Has anyone seen both?
Has anyone seen the film both in IMAX and standard formats? What, in your opinion, am I missing by not seeing it in IMAX?

That black one has pretty hair.
Just as good as any white woman's.

Penguin Suit, Icarus-like.

As a rule, I hold that really, really, really big tits like Birch's compensate for many a shortcoming.

She's a pretty, pretty FUCKING ANNOYING princess. And if she's so into being a geek that she has to mention it twice in 25 words, I'd be happy to help her out by force-feeding her frogs and mice. My pleasure. To me, that would be "the funny."

Not only should abortion remain legal, it should be mandatory.

Somebody on this thread said that Horsey Sauce is bland. Two nights ago, I had it for the first time in twenty years, on a small roast beef. Everything tasted exactly as I remembered. The Horsey had a light but pleasant bite. Doesn't light your sinuses on fire, but it has a nice little zing. It's perfect. It's about

@Ellie

I'm just gratified that you read it.

Point taken.

I wonder. The scenes using Glass's music do benefit tremendously from it. It's electrifying music, but I feel as though, perhaps, Watchmen uses it as a crutch to create drama that would not otherwise spring forth from the footage itself. I mean, you could put this music over footage of a guy sitting on the crapper and

Good, but no Kitty
I'm not sure I even "liked" the movie that much. But it's unique, I give it that. I'm going back to see it, having seen it yesterday. I don't care for superhero flicks or comics per se, but this movie is "fucked up" in a very good way.

A.O. Scott called for a moratorium on Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" in movies. I like Leonard Cohen, but man is Scott ever right.
