Fair point. I just hate that the shock factor of the scene was diminished. I normally avoid previews for just this reason, but I'm pretty sure CBS ran that promo 2000 times. The only other show I watch on CBS is Elementary and I still feel like I saw the ad a dozen times.

I really wish that they had not included the desk-clearing scene in
the previews for this episode. I wish they'd just shown Josh Charles's
quiet, betrayed "she…what?" Because that rage-filled moment would
have been gasp-worthy if I hadn't known it was coming.

I would start with last year's season finale. I watched the first two years of this show and then took a two year hiatus and felt like I was up to speed pretty quickly with last year's finale and the beginning of this season.

I thought the knock-off of George was obvious and meant as a wink at the audience. Now I'm concerned that I'm way older than most of the audience. Sigh.

I always remind myself that, in Season 1, Daniel was a basically decent, if spoiled and oblivious, guy, just trying to get his life on track. I always hoped that the show would find a way to preserve his role as the one basically good Grayson, rather than turning him bad to make Emily look better for sacrificing him

Exactly! I liked this episode pretty well, mostly because Hook is one of the few characters I am still interested seeing in flashback because it hasn't been played to death. But the flashback was SO rushed, and unnecessarily so. The sword-in-the-stone flashback was the most pointless flashback that this show has

I love your observation about Kim. Kim and Lindsay's was my favorite relationship of the show and I love seeing the influence each has over the other.

I was traveling when this post went live and most of the comments I have were already made. So I'll just say that Freaks & Geeks was a wonderful, beautiful series and I am so very happy that it was made.

Do you promise?

I hope that you are right! I want this series to end with Emily alone, walking in slowmo, everything Grayson in (figurative) flames behind her.

Agreed! It also just makes more sense from a plot perspective. I know that Jack & Ems were in love when they were like 10 or whatever — and shared a couple of sweet moments in season 1 — but Emily completely wrecked Jack's life while lying to him for 2 years. There should be no coming back from that. Neither Emily

The OUAT writers would be well-served to take some lessons from the early seasons of The Vampire Diaries. That is another completely ridiculous show, but the pacing is so fast, that even when a plot grates or is riddled with holes, it moves along quickly enough that all is soon forgiven and forgotten. TVD most fails

I think that this is the first episode of The Mindy Project that I found hilarious from beginning to end. Admittedly, I do not like Morgan's schtick at all, so I'm sure that it being a Morgan-lite ep helped tremendously. But I also think it was just a fine half hour of comedy: (1) Mindy and Chris nailed it in both

Agree that, while Olivia's dad did not blink, there was this microscopic change in his eyes that conveyed that he knew and that the did not want Olivia getting involved with it.  I found it to be a wonderfully acted, subtle moment.

That did occur to me.  As someone who has hidden stuff in her bra, I think Emily's dress was too low cut to get away with it.  I could see straight down the front when she was sitting at the table.  And that vile was too big.

Yes!  This was this week's "Ashley's lack of a handbag while boarding the plane" for me.  I can suspend disbelief of so much and enjoy this ridiculous show, but the stupid little glitches like "where the hell did Emily hide the vile?" are so distracting!

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me the parts of this episode in Neverland were fine and had some really good moments, but Snow/Charming pointless flashback number 538 knocked it down a solid letter grade for me.  It added nothing to the show's mythology and I found it to be obvious and heavy-handed storytelling.

Yeah, just to be clear (because one must tread lightly on the internet), I think that, of the 1,000 reasons Elena probably shouldn't be with either Salvatore brother, Damon's omission wouldn't register.  I just literally could hear Elena's voice throwing it back in Damon's face 4 episodes from now.

I think that the unspoken rule of TVD is that only one of the Salvatores gets to be crazy at a time.  This is Paul Wesley's turn to play evil and miserable.  I'm sure Damon will have his turn soon enough.  My thought as soon as Damon neglected to inform Elena of the MF goings on was "Well, that's why she's going to

I thought the cops were either compelled or in on it.  And "Flyer Guy" (a/k/a one of two non-regulars with speaking lines) is clearly the vampire right?
