I love that pretty much every MST3K episode has multiple references that fly over my head. It's oddly comforting, knowing that those weirdos didn't care how many people got their jokes.

Film:
I went to see The Witch with one of my coworkers on Thursday night, but the movie froze 20 minutes into it. They started it again from the beginning, we watched the first 20 minutes again, and it froze in the same spot. They apologized and gave everyone 2 free passes, but that was the last night they were showing

As one of those people who thinks the Bible contains a lot of deep truth, I wouldn't say that's the *only* sane way to do it. But it's a hell of a lot more interesting (and faithful to the scriptures) to film it as myth than as… whatever the faith-based film crowd seem to think it is - a divine textbook, I guess.
