My working theory of Probst is that Jeff likes things (quits, twists, Jeff-invented nonsense classifications) that give Jeff more screen time. I think he calls it "Survivor: White Collar vs Blue Collar vs No Collar" because for the three additional seconds it takes to huff and puff through it, the camera is

Nothing like a season where the entire cast evaluates both self-worth and earning power by their ability to be successful on Survivor.

All-Stars has got to be the most bitter.

Very good points. I just get the sense that Missy is playing for Baylor before herself, which (although it's a completely different situation) is very un-Sandra-like.

Yes! I've been telling people that this season is "Gaboning" for the last four episodes.

I pondered that comparison. Sandra was likable but passive, Missy seems unpleasant but much more aggressive. Missy needs to be driving the car; Sandra just wants to hide in the trunk.

I agree. We're not going to get a top-shelf winner out of this season. We'll get a Natalie White (Jaclyn), a Fabio (Jon, a lovable doofus), a Jenna Morasca (Baylor, an unlovable brat), or a Sophie (Natalie, the invisible girl).

In my defense, Osten was being a punk.

You could say that this season, the cast is half full.

Why is that a flawed strategy? He sold it poorly, and didn't have the leadership to make anyone go along with it, but anyone who wants to get to the end with their loved one should, absent other factors, target a single player rather than a person with a pair in the game.

I know, my point is that throwing challenges successfully gets edited out (see comment below).

I can't remember the last time we saw this much terrible play from so many different people.

Yul has admitted that in Cook Islands he would stay in individual challenges long enough to ensure that someone from his tribe would win, and then let Ozzy take the win, because Yul was safe because of his super idol anyway.

Some former Survivors say that when they throw challenges to boot a tribe member and all goes according to plan, it gets edited out. Producers know that nobody wants to watch challenges be thrown on a regular basis, so they only show it when it blows up in the thrower's face.

How can you go to tribal not knowing who you're going to vote for? This is the sole point of the game.

From what we've seen the real Hunaphu goat is…
Kelley. Who's Kelley?
Exactly.

Editors work in mysterious ways, especially regarding reaction shots.

If you're on the Hunaphu (Blue) tribe and still have a loved one in the game, shouldn't you be throwing the next challenge? The odds that your loved one will be voted out is high, while it seems like the Hunaphu consensus is that Drew will go at the next TC.

No. You can't trust her to keep her trap shut. Goats should be zombies like Woo or Sherri, not people who taunt others after winning challenges.

Rocker getting voted out was the best thing that could happen to me. Seriously, I hate when outside factors (Sports Illustrated articles from the 90s) get brought into the game.
