Farina as The Comedian, circa 1995.

IIRC, Williams was approached and then thrown over for the then-newly-hot Carrey. After being similarly used on the first Batfilm as to make Nicholson shit or get off the pot, Williams had less-than-fond memories of the franchise.

Younger Chiwetel Ejiofor as Black Panther.

I bought a player and a bunch of discs at a flea market back when I was into dead formats (see also: 8-track), but chucked them after a while due to skipping. I kept the copy of CITIZEN KANE, though, just for fun and a fondness for the cover art: http://i.ebayimg.com/images…

SUPER FRIENDS is available on Amazon streaming (some Prime, some for pay), and on various DVD packages, some dirt-cheap: http://smile.amazon.com/s/r…

I'm very fond of all Phil's popular stuff, but I'm not sure his voice ever sounded better than it did on "Entangled." Nice hidden gem for those, like me, who aren't as into Genesis's prog period. (DUKE is Prime Genesis for this horse…)

Only moment?

Phillip Jose Farmer addresed this neatly in his short story "An Interview With Lord Greystoke" and book TARZAN ALIVE. The "Great Apes" of the books are not gorillas, but in fact spoken-language-using hominids. Worked for me.

The Kubert School did lots of illustrations for the Heroes World chain of stores. It all kinda came out looking like Kubert. . .

I would frequently have the Enterprise meet the super-heroes, but also would use the Klingon as General Zod and the Gorilla Soldier from the PLANET OF THE APES line as Gorilla Grodd.

Red onion bags made the best web nets for this figure. . .

Well, that depends on the version of Superman also. Most versions since the 1986 MAN OF STEEL comic by John Byrne have used the "solar battery" idea. But in plenty of Silver- and Bronze-Age comics, flicking on a "red sun lamp" or somesuch would remove his powers instantly.

Historically in the comics, Superman's powers come from a combination of Earth's lesser gravity and the rays of the yellow sun. So, much as I hate to give MOS any credit, it seemed consistent that the strength/speed powers were present the second the Kryptonians stepped into Earth's gravity, and the sensory powers

I think we need a third party to solve this. : ) I haven't read enough Nocenti to know what other elements are hers, but Frank Miller definitely established the Hell's Kitchen milieu of DAREDEVIL and introduced the modern version of Karen Page. If you'd read Miller you could tell me how Nocenti's versions differed (if

Which elements of the show are mined from Nocenti's run? What little I've read by her didn't grab me, so I'm far from an expert. I've read Miller, Smith, Bendis, and Brubaker though, plus a smattering of the earliest Lee-scripted issues.

#1: Malcolm Merlyn!

"You could've shut your mouth, cooked, and made as much money as you ever needed. Oh, yeah - and let Gus kill Jesse who I now love like a son."

"He's still skinny."

Bruce Wayne doesn't become Batman to punish Joe Chill. He becomes Batman to save eight-year old Bruce Wayne.
