I'm all about Colin Stetson, Kvelertak, Deafheaven, Kurt Vile, Inter Arma and Mikal Cronin, but you wanna know a not-cool album that is amazing? The new Paramore.

So did Norm Macdonald.

Altman over Ashby over and over.

I think even Harris would admit to fanboy-ism from time to time. The dude is a huge mark for The Middle, which I appreciate because that show deserves it.

Will Harris has quietly become one of the best people at the AVClub.

It is my favorite movie of all-time.

If you were on board with Macgruber, you will definitely be down with the Brothers Solomon. People hated it, but also, people are idiots.

Friggin' Chris Jericho. He's so great in that scene.

Col. James Faith: They were nice funerals.
MacGruber: Yeah. What did you think of my eulogies?
Col. James Faith: Very touching. I might have cut back on the F-words a little.
MacGruber: Well, they were fucking great guys. And this is a fucking asshole of a day.

Yeah, he didn't get the credit he deserved, but he didn't just play dumb frat boy Dubya, but instead defensive and in over his head Dubya.

I will always ALWAYS swear by the Brothers Solomon and Macgruber, no matter how much others disagree with me. Those movies are funny.

He will stand and deliver. I know it. 2013-14 will be his time.

Parsons used to talk about a "cosmic Americana" and yet he never made an album approaching that sound at all. Only Gene Clark's No Other (a friggin' five star masterpiece if there ever was one) can stake that claim.

I really like Michael Nesmith and Ian Matthews. Nesmith has a couple really strong albums and Matthews has, like, four or five. Plainsong's In Search Of Amelia Earheart is a fantastic country rock record.

I like Gram Parsons. I love Gene Clark.

Anyone who's cool with Gene Clark (and Steve Young) is cool with me. I'll give these songs a fair shake.

I think the marriage of the post-rock/shoegaze grandeur and the black metal brutality is what sets Deafheaven apart. I love me some Alcest and really enjoy Les Discrets, but I find them more one dimensional. Still, it is surprising that Alcest never happened in a big way for the Pitchfork types.

Well, if you're not a willfully ignorant asshole, you're in for a treat.

Yes, Full House was terrible. Also, you sound hilariously old and cranky. Poor guy.

It really needs to be stressed just how good that Paramore album is. I never had time for them before, but it's just the absolute perfect pop album. "Ain't It Fun" may be my most listened to song of the year, but the whole album is just so strong and infectious. I hope people start to pick up on the greatness of this
