I thought Squiddies was supposed to be like dried squid. Lord knows I've weirded out enough white friends with that snack.

I'm convinced there was some zany mixup and Mo Collins and Kristen Wiig ended up at each others jobs.

I'm starting to get really unsettled by Armisen. He just can't not be everywhere. He's like that guy that only hangs out with girls and once another guy friend comes around he gets really, really, defensive.
Oh look, I just found out he's opening for Sleater-Kinney when I'm seeing him. Ugh.

Eh, he kinda gets a pass. Directors and other creators of content get a little more sympathy just because I understand that they have a particular vision they want to get across. But when you're someone like Shearer whose work relies on being part of an ensemble I just feel that he should learn some humility. I don't

Totally. I went in thinking that it'd partly be a Chevy Chase shit talk session but was feeling a little weird thinking "Am I the only one that thinks Shearer sounds like a total snob in this?"

Timelines have diverged!!! We're now living in Post-Cyrus Earth!

He and Maya Rudolph did a little number about musical acts.

The appearance of Martin Short, at least for me, made up for most of the shortcomings the special had.

More Jaws Theme song

I could've sworn I saw Dunn in the audience. I agree about Shearer, though. After reading "Live from New York", he comes off as a real arrogant guy. Martin Short can teach him a thing or two.

Gross, no! Jake and Gina are like brother and sister!

Serious. All we need now is a Jessica Drew to complete the cast for a Secret Avengers movie

Yeah, that's what I was leaning towards. It's unfortunate that this double standard still manages to infiltrate even the most progressive/critical thinking areas of pop culture.

Yeah I haven't really seen any evidence to warrant such a disproportionate amount of hate. And if she's a "cold bitch", who cares? Shouldn't that earn her more points for trying her hand at comedy?

Oh my god. Right down to the glasses.

I just want her to give me a piggyback

Well, no one is arguing his douchiness. What is curious is the lack of pitchforks and criticism towards his job as host even though he was much, MUCH worse than January Jones (who I think got an exaggeratedly bad rap). Don't even get me started on Robert DeNiro.

I misread that as "the show's getting a soft robot"

oh I thought you meant his weenie

Which makes the whole idea of "musicians are supposed to be better hosts" so confusing since Adam Levine was maybe one of the worst hosts I've seen.
