Absolutely. I've always had my criticisms of the show but I find that the group comprised of Glenn, Abraham, and Co. to be a lot more intriguing. I'm not sure what it is. At least to me it feels like that characters are way more about interaction and development than what we've had imho.

I'd argue he's the most level headed of the bunch. I've never read the comics but I find his character to always straddle the line of being something next level but the writers never give him that opportunity. Damn shame.
