I thought Cheri Oteri played the Courtney Cox role in Scary Movie.

A quick Google search revealed that I actually do know who Big Ang is. I guess I just didn't know the name. I definitely recognize the face.

That would actually be pretty clever on their part. I know that "clever" isn't really the Scary Movie way, but a guy can dream.

Thanks for asking. Thanks to The Soup I've heard of Honey Boo Boo, but Big Ang? The what?

Not only that, but the whole "We're gonna get you" bit isn't even in the movie. It's one of those odd bits that made the trailer and then got cut for some reason.

I liked it a lot more than you did. I thought it was plenty scary and found the gore very entertaining.

I've only seen the second one, so maybe the original isn't famous for gore like @avclub-f15f2020c8dfbe665c036e75c9176f7c:disqus says. Either way, this one is all about the gore (and the scares, but more the gore). I thought it was incredibly effective. Very scary and very, very gory. A lot of the imagery is going to

@avclub-54d29188fe85ae6a66b5ffaa043f799f:disqus is correct. There's CGI in the movie, but 99% of the blood and gore is done with practical effects. And there is A LOT of blood and gore.

I guess that all depends. I just saw it, and it's very much a horror movie. Very little humor, and they turned the gore all the way up and broke off the knob.

I just got back from seeing it. It has that creepy face staring up out of the basement, but strangely the whole "We're gonna get you" scene isn't there. Unless I blanked and missed it.

The thing about the guests can go either way. Never Not Funny is far and away my favorite podcast, and depending on the episode the guest can either be an integral part or a fifth wheel.

Absolutely agree. First Class was a huge recovery for the X franchise.

Yeah, one of the issues of Wolverine during Civil War had him tracking down what's his face, the human bomb who set off the whole Civil War event. Wolverine is incinerated when Bomb Guy goes off, and just his skeleton is left. But apparently a few cells survived, because he gets better.

The first Wolverine is one of the worst movies that I have ever seen. Nothing good or fun about it.

@avclub-3c23902822283144c09d87f123545c87:disqus I watched it as a kid and then forgot about it until I recently realized that ABC Family plays Boy Meets World from about 7am to 10am. Turns out it's pretty funny and surprisingly well written. Multiple times I've laughed uncontrollably at something on the show.
It's also

Maybe I really misread that scene, but no one was going down on her. The kid was just her lap dog, not her sex slave.

Veep is one of the funniest shows on television, and it's a shame that the overrated Girls hogs the spotlight over on HBO.

I'm with you, Malcolm, but I think that Timothy Olyphant has eclipsed Hamm in that department.

Agreed.

I was going to post the same thing but I knew someone would have already done so. One of the best pieces of comedy I've ever seen.
