@avclub-5fd14fc7a83b79e976652d8c4abecc78:disqus I'm actually fine with that kind of skip. First off, if you're going to jump forward five years then you need to shake things up to justify that kind of leap. Plus the "I blame you for so-and-so dying" and "you kept such-and-such secret from me" have both been done to

I'm 30 and the only reason I know about it is because my parents have mentioned it. They said it was like their X Files, I think. beyond that I would never have heard of it either.

I didn't know much about Lee until the big shakeup at DC, at which point I found out he drew Batman: Hush, which I think is pretty much perfect.

I tried to go back and watch that show and I really don't think it holds up (at least the couple of early episodes I made it through didn't). The animation is pretty crummy and the voice acting isn't all that great. I loved it as a kid but I think that one is better left behind.

That's why you should just get the trades. You can get the Animal Man trade for eight bucks and change online. That's way cheaper than individual issues, though you do have to wait longer. Seems well worth it to me, and it's how I plan to read a lot of the new 52.

I'm with you, @avclub-884c4beddd8c98bb3b016bdfcc1bcdf8:disqus . It's definitely gotten better through the back half of the first season but I think it was a quality show all along. It's great to see that it's getting regular coverage.

Would that begin the AV Club curse?

Maybe it's just me but it seems extra shitty to torrent a podcast.

I really, really hated Kenny Powers and don't much care for McBride, so when it seemed like he was dead I was pretty happy. It makes just as much sense to have him fake his death, and I guess I'm OK with that ending as well, but I was really satisfied thinking that Kenny Powers was gone.

Isn't Awake on at 10:00 on Thursdays? Because I'd say that's better than decent.

I definitely agree with @avclub-29badebfcb56e531b4e38f81fff9dd20:disqus . "Thank You" is a great episode.

Great to see some Adventure Time coverage, even if it is under the Other Shows banner.

Berbatov!!!!

Some people just have "it," whatever that might be. Not all beautiful people have it but there's a reason that some folks are stars. They just have that intangible quality that makes people gravitate toward the. She has it.

Oh my glob.

So many great episodes of Samurai Jack. The one with the mute archers guarding the tower. The one with the seven robots and the robotic glove. The one with the assassins discussing how they're going to take him out, and in the end he kills all of them before a drop of water can hit the ground.

@avclub-f079b53bcfcde2c125cc74ced47bfbcd:disqus I haven't listened to WTF in a long time and I think that's a big part of why. Maron's interviews are generally very good but I got burnt out on his persona. Or I guess on him, because it doesn't seem like a persona. I like him but the podcast is a bit too much Maron for

Oh man, that is amazing. I finally listened to this week's episode and it was fantastic. The mass suicide at the end is one of the funniest things to ever happen on the show.
