Yeah, that's pretty much the only thing that really bothers me in the reboot. Wally's my Flash. I got into DC comics through the various animated series. Wally was such a great character in the Justice League series, and I've since read all of Mark Waid's Flash trades and have the Geoff Johns series waiting on my

I'm definitely with @avclub-1534b76d325a8f591b52d302e7181331:disqus  in that I won't really be reading any of this until they come out in trades (and probably only then as paperback, so it may be a long while unless DC speeds up the process at all), so it'll be really nice to see monthly updates.

Best line of the episode. That kid's reaction was perfect.

There are definitely a lot of regulars I'd love to hear, but at this point those people have all been on the show multiple times. I'd much rather they continue to bring new people into the mix. I haven't heard this week's episode yet, but John Ross Bowie, Myq Kaplan, Tom Wilson, and the other recent new guests have

They certainly have their problems, but I absolutely love the series. You won't regret it. Or maybe you will. a lot of other people appear to regret it. Either way, read them and judge for yourself.

Well, it was different, so your friend was right. Whether or not you think that makes for a satisfying ending (and I did) is up to you.

I totally agree, @avclub-56584778d5a8ab88d6393cc4cd11e090:disqus . I have no problem with the way the game is played and could see how it might become even more of a mess if it we a free-for-all.

Watch the whole thing. It's a great show, warts and all. The end is good but not great, but incredibly emotionally satisfying.

It always amazes me that Doug is so bad at explaining the game. He's been doing this for a long time but he doesn't have a clear, consistent, concise way to explain it. And it's really not a difficult game to explain.

Is that Harris Wittels band sincere or comedic? The songs sounds sincere at least, but I've never really paid attention to the lyrics so I have no clue if they're supposed to be funny.

It also seems like there are some things that just weren't going to change. Superman is from the planet Krypton. Batman is Bruce Wayne, who became a vigilante because his parents were killed when he was a kid. Anyone who thought that Dick would stay Batman permanently was fooling themselves. Bruce is Batman. It was a

I support what DC is doing for the most part, but I'm definitely waiting for the trades. I just don't like monthly comics. I don't like the flimsy, floppy books. I don't like needing bags and boards to keep them from getting all banged up. I don't like longboxes.

@avclub-de9240f5c623bf031dcf0fca9770db44:disqus I disagree. Continuity, tangled or otherwise, is a part of comics. If these characters live in the same world and interact on a more or less regular basis then things will likely get a bit complicated at some point anyway. I don't see the point of throwing away all that

I get what you're saying about convolution, but do you really think it would have been a good idea for DC to have scrapped everything having to do with one of their most popular titles in this reboot?

I haven't read it so maybe I'm totally wrong, but I flipped through and it seemed that Harley was the same bubbly ditz that she's always been.

I think @avclub-68e8e6860586596c1e7a37aa64d3fba4:disqus is right (but like Cyrus says, I could be wrong). I thought I read somewhere that the first arc of Action would take place in the past as an origin. I guess time will tell.

I had absolutely no clue that that was the same guy, so yes, I needed them to directly identify him as McNabb. I've got a pretty good memory for crap like that, but it's a reference to something from four seasons ago. That's a long while.

You, sir or madam, sound like something of a jerk.

Pardo was great on CBB (of course), and the quote they pulled was hilarious, but I thought the moment of the podcast was Pardo and Aukerman's win in What Am I Thinking? You knew where they would go with it, but the fact that they met on such a perfect, hilarious word was magical.

Folk can make as many jokes as they like, and Cage has definitely done some clunkers, but The Rock is a true classic.
