Me too! I've seen this film more times than I could ever count. I love it dearly. I could watch Martin make coffee a million times…great timing in that scene, very underappreciated flick!

*Gets pulled out of cockpit wearing Lakers uniform*

I know! Amazing that he completely changed course and became sort of a comedic genius, I think.

"The hell I don't!"

The timing is impeccable, it's like a Looney Tunes cartoon sometimes…perfect beats, perfectly shot. Like when the newspaper men all run into the phone booths and they crash to the floor.

"I love him but some day I'm gonna knock him on his ass."

Damn, I just love that movie so much. The Beatles scene is still one of my favorite things ever. "Gleeeaat rrrrrecord."

Ha, shut your butt.

Ha, indeed. I think that's the one where Dave comes into the diner dressed as Freddy and Brad let's out the funniest, longest, girliest scream…good lord, that's some funny shit.

And when he got the perm…oh god, so good. His hair was always comedic gold.

I think you are probably correct! And I gotta admit, as much as I love all of this cast so, so much…I think Dave was the funniest to me by the end. He embraced that inner weirdo and still managed to underplay it. It was a nice contrast to how over the top (in a good way…they were all fantastic) the others were.

This is a great answer. I think Kat struck the wrong chord from the very beginning and they've been trying to course correct ever sense. But I don't think Flockhart is good enough to sell it. She doesn't have the charisma to hold our interest when she acts irrationally and irritating, which is most of the time. The

That's great! Were you afraid that he would follow you into the parking lot and growl at you to stay out of his territory? That would be all I could think about the rest of the shopping trip.

Goddamn, I feel this one, very nice! That film drove home the power of fear so well, and it was so profound for me because it was done in little ways—like when he almost lets it slip to Streep that he was afraid to spend the night with her. Oh, I feel like tearing up just thinking about it. Such a little thing fear

Was that when he was watching Duck Soup? Has been so long since I've seen it. Very nice moment, and it certainly resonates.

I remember Hoffman talking on some AFI thing, maybe, about how that role affected him so deeply. I was blown away by his passion and his compassion—he cried a bit when describing what he witnessed and went through. That moment always stuck with me and made me view the film through a different lens—definitely opened my

Me either, man. And what's amazing is that I have a huge hole in my Bowie musical knowledge. After the Let's Dance stuff he kind of fell off my radar. But I've been diving deep and am hearing all kinds of new things now. It's like discovering him all over again. I just finished a romp through Earthling, which I

I think it was here on the AV Club where someone recently asked: Has anyone checked on the Pythons lately? Can someone make sure they are all right? Don't mean to steal another person's comment, I just really want to make sure those guys are OK!

Indeed. Do you remember there was like a long version of the video, almost like a short film, that culminated in the actual song? I seem to recall seeing that full version only once. Regardless, I kind of love that song.

Is Thompson playing drums on that track? How did I never know this? Good lord, man, I feel like a failure. I should have recognized him. Well, I'm off to listen to this album again.
