Nah, I don't think there was anything necessarily "white" about the Kingpin in the comics. He just needs to ride the line between big, brutal thug, and capable, dirty businessman. The guy who played Fisk in Daredevil did this pretty well.

Been a long time since I've seen it, but I remember being pleasantly surprised.

Yeah I've read about those tours and they seem a little silly. Go and see a bunch of burnt out buildings and overgrown vegetation, and pay exorbitant money to fire some old surplus AK-47s. Seems like a depressing way to spend a vacation.

More than anything, I feel as though Chernobyl's gotten kind of popular in entertainment lately. I think there's something of a ghost-town appeal that people respond to, coupled with a vague interest in a Russia that was still a major power and enemy. Note the recent Roadside Picnic derivatives (the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

People are always talking about how Life Aquatic is great, but has all these "faults" and "flaws."

Best is the Rushmore - Tenenbaums - Life Aquatic triumvirate.
Bottle Rocket is underrated, but not quite as good as the above.
Worst is obviously Darjeeling.

Yeah, it felt like they deliberately kept Tina in frame to avoid exactly this kind of misunderstanding.

Gaaah nostalgia. I think they fought crime too?
