Don't care what anyone says, I liked Martha. I agree that her crush on the Doctor got annoying, but her exit was awesome (is she the only companion in New Who who's gone out on her own terms so far?), and she was smart and sensible. I don't know. I think everyone's had unrequited crushes at some point or the other, so

Agreed completely.

I'm not particularly pro-Moffat (I think he does good standalones, but I'm getting sick of his timey-wimey twisting of every thing), but I am very much pro-Clara.

No, the worst thing about Moffat's female characters (actually his non-Doctor characters, in general) are that they feel a lot less like actual people and a lot more like plot catalysts/snark machines. It's all fun and everything, and I loved Amy and Rory, but even so. Female characters are often robbed of their

I like Clara a lot, so I'm interested in her story, but I cannot for the life of me understand why every single companion needs to be some kind of timey-wimey anomaly. It almost always leads to their agency being taken away in Moffat's Who, and I've had enough of that BS, honestly.

How come everyone here loves Cumberbatch so much? I don't know, I've always thought he's kind of a prick. Good actor, though. He'd make a good Master, I agree.

The staircase to the clouds, and the entire clouds scene, especially added to the storybook imagery. It was wonderful.

It's probably not fair to judge so early, but I think my liking for Clara largely had to do with how charismatic and adorable JLC is. Otherwise, she was pretty much a typical Moffat-ised female character in this episode.

Why did you like Asylum of the Daleks that much, though? I'm not being rude or anything, just genuinely curious. I thought the Amy/Rory plot was awful, and the Dalek story was fine, but not great.
