Agreed. Fringe and Parenthood are pretty much the only shows on right now that I can say that about, so they're both in my top 5. (I didn't say my list was objective..)

I'm not as hard as you are on this season (in fact, I may even like it as much as I liked season 3, once all is said and done), but I do agree with pretty much everything else you said.

Yeah, I'm so disappointed with how they failed to flesh out the Observer society, in particular. That could have been really interesting.

Really, I think it all depends on how they do it. I'm not inherently against the idea at all. It all lies in the execution.

Nah, there was plenty of warmth between them in all of their scenes immediately after Etta's death (in An Origin Story and Through the Looking Glass.).
