I teared up the ending, actually. Great stuff.

So that felt really..abrupt? But it was also super touching and true to the characters and the themes of the show, and I loved it. I can totally understand why people wouldn't like it, though.

@avclub-d89b833158f0d9a73fd33bb243fe5786:disqus I've taken a lot of those quizzes too! I'm mostly a Ravenclaw with a good amount of Gryffindor mixed in. Pottermore declares that I am a Ravenclaw.

@avclub-3f2263ada00cf404ac8d4b205f830508:disqus , exactly. I don't have a problem with the IDEA of such a plotline. The problem is that this show seems to use them just to make the major love interest at any point seem like a good person. In the first season, it was all about making Stefan seem like this wonderful

Agreed, Carrie. To be honest, I don't think even the show has a clear idea of its own morality now. I mean, it's always been a bit fuzzy with that, but I feel like it's magnified right now, for some reason. And like everyone keeps assuming when I say that, it's not because I'm some massive Stefan stan. I think both

The Klaus thing is a problem. But that still doesn't invalidate Caroline not being comfortable with the idea of her best friend dating her abuser.

Did I say Stefan is better than Damon? I've said time and again in these comment sections itself that I can see why CAROLINE would think that Stefan is better than Damon. That's the point I'm trying to make.
