It's actually a pretty interesting reversal of roles. So far, it's always been Olivia and Walter who kept having crazy stuff happen to them, and Peter being the only thing keeping them grounded, and now it's the other way round.

@avclub-c5c7dfe480dd211b50781620ea2fdaf0:disqus No, it's just been Chris Tilton from season 2 on, I think.

Olivia's taken a backseat, sure, I think they did some excellent work with her in 'In Absentia' and 'The Recordist'. Though it's plenty of fun to watch her kick ass, it was always the underlying vulnerability that attracted me to Olivia as a character, so I'm glad that we're getting a lot of that this season.

But Michael Giacchino hasn't worked on Fringe after the first season, right?

That's true, of course, but I'd prefer it so much if he didn't have to manipulate Elena for his own satisfaction. Actually, I would be fine with him continuing to manipulate Elena as long as the show doesn't continue pushing him as the 'good guy', that's all. (And as long as Elena finds out soon and confronts him.)…

That's where my mind went first, too, but I think it's highly unlikely. Boooo.

Oh, I'd forgotten about that. That is just so fucking stupid. Caroline killed someone, and she was so disgusted with herself for it that she was determined to not let that happen again. That's all. She IS still a vampire, and just because she's good at it doesn't mean she doesn't struggle with the same urges. She's…

I think it's very interesting how neither Salvatore brothers is really good or bad: they kind of keep cycling, really. And Stefan last season was all about letting Elena make her own choices, at least on the surface, and I think that it makes sense (and is also interesting) how the roles seem to be getting reversed…

I'm so pissed about how they're completely ignoring that Caroline is more than capable of helping her best friend through the transformation. Instead, we get the Salvatore brothers arguing about what they think is best for Elena, and Caroline stuck in a stupid jealous girlfriend plotline. It's so pointless, and so…

@avclub-a84cf2d984ed2eb7948b9fda85275a7f:disqus With you on that. I really love all of these characters, but that corner of the fandom that hates when anyone other than Olivia has a storyline to themselves is super creepy. (I've come across people who hated the Peter machine plot because it didn't involve Olivia…
