The writing has definitely improved, no doubt, but I think our love of Etta had a lot to do with our love for Peter and Olivia, too, whereas when Olivia started out, she was a completely new character who had to prove herself and had no links to dearly loved characters to facilitate that.

Yeah, I'm actually kind of surprised about so many negative reactions. I'm really sad about Etta dying, would have loved to have more of her and the unique relationship she shares with each of the others, but I think this is a genius characterization move for Peter.
