Eh? Sure, I can't really make out a distinct theme right now, but I don't agree at all that season 5 hasn't been up to the previous high standards the show has set. I think these have easily been the best stretch of episodes since season 3, and I'm one of the people who loved season 4.

They're available in a lot of libraries, but I think they're mostly out of bookstores now.

Dianna Wynne Jones was pretty great, too. I loved her books as a kid. Still do. But I love Harry Potter, ASuOE and His Dark Materials as well.

Really enjoying the way they've chosen to go with Elena's transformation. The dilemmas she's facing are really in character, and I'm glad that they didn't choose to take an easy route with this. And as you said, Carrie, they're really selling the love triangle at this point, at least to me. It feels a lot deeper right

@The_Primordial_Dr_Zoidberg:disqus Exactly! And since the two shows started, I've frankly enjoyed New Girl more than Parks, because I thought this season of Parks started out feeling rather stale. (Until this episode, obviously.)
New Girl is legitimately funny, and it has some of the best male characters on any sitcom

Annoying as she can be, Deschanel is actually not too bad on the show, now that the writers have stopped writing her as a twee little darling who is incapable of saying the word 'penis'.

Yeah, I'd prefer for it to stay strictly platonic, but, you know, whatever makes Caroline happy, because that's all I really want for her. I just love her so much. Definitely my favourite character on the show, along with Elijah.

Caroline is totally the best. And I think Elijah's showing up next episode!

New Girl is a bit uneven, but when it's good, it's really good. And to be honest, I don't even really care about the uneven bit, because it's easily one of the shows I enjoy the most week-to-week, and one of the shows that I miss the most when it's not on.

Totally agreed with Amy Poehler, Connie Britton and Claire Danes, but are we only talking women here? Because if not, I nominate John Noble. Walter crying is my TV kryptonite.
Candice Accola of The Vampire Diaries is pretty good, too.
