Just dropping by to say that someone asked Joel Wyman about this on twitter, and he just replied with a wink emoticon. It was definitely intentional.

Exactly. It's a lot of fun, and as you said, Maggie Q is great. Plus, how many network shows are there with an Asian woman as the lead? So happy that the AV Club's decided to do regular coverage.

@Tal1tha:disqus  Still don't recall it. I've forgotten a lot of last season, I think..
Yeah, I agree with the secret manipulative thing too, now that I really think about it. It's common knowledge that he has a dark side, but I really think he does try to suppress it, which makes him a little better than Damon in my

Pumped about Nikita, and I've been looking forward to Hunted ever since I heard about it, but I'm really really sad about no Fringe this week. (And Community too, of course. But I'm a lot sadder about Fringe, to be honest.)

@avclub-3f2263ada00cf404ac8d4b205f830508:disqus Yeah, I actually thought Stefan went a bit too overboard with his, "Elena couldn't handle drinking from a person!" thing this episode, which is why Elena had to rely on Damon, because she was afraid to disappoint Stefan. I liked that the show acknowledged that this

Liked the episode a lot, but at this point it's really starting to feel like the show's recycling plot points, especially the Leslie stuff. It's still funny, but I feel like it's starting to feel really familiar in a not-so-good way. What I'm really enjoying is the Ben-April dynamic. Adam Scott is so great, and he and

Stefan is definitely naive, but he just tries his best to see that Elena is able to stick to her choices and ideals, no matter what happens. I don't really see how that makes him a dick. Damon's just trying to protect everyone, sure, but I'm not really comfortable with how he tries to control Elena's choices and

Come on, @LR:disqus , the concept of people looking for things that would help them in a mission was totally invented by JK Rowling! How could you not know that?

I liked it too. Not enough to give at an A, but I really liked the idea and the themes. It was slower than the other two for sure, but I never really found it boring. Then again, I would watch these characters read out of a phone book for two hours, so maybe I'm a bit biased.

But Roland has done some good episodes, too - Including Welcome to Westfield and Worlds Apart, which were two of my favourites last season.
