No, I get that - I'm lucky I am at a point in my life where I can afford to take on another animal, but 10 years ago it would have been a different story.

I agree that Jean-Ralphio on a weekly basis would quickly become grating.
minutes, not miles! :) But yes, I am a little nervous, especially since the number of minutes in the total fun is also upped from 18 to 21 (not including the warmup 5 minute walk and yes I am very obsessive about this!).
Nice! But how do you look in a dress?
Ha, no, but just in case it comes up….
I used to watch my nephews a fair bit when they were little and made a huge effort to not have them see me naked, even when they were babies. I just feel so much better seeing them now as young men knowing that I can honestly tell them they never saw my breasts.
DragonCon would be great! I seriously do not remember anyone else from the Atlanta area on here - ElDan is near Augusta, but that's about it.
As I was changing into a swimsuit one day my 3 year old niece looked at me and said "are those mommies boobies?" "No, honey, I have my own." And she just looked at me with HUGE eyes, like me having my own boobs was the craziest thing ever.
This lonely ATL-area commenter is jealous!
I love minor league games! I try to see the Mud Hens once a year when I visit my family, and have seen games in GA, TN, IN, and the Akron Aeros that HAT mentioned. The game in TN was some sub A-level team that a work group (building houses after a flood) I was with went to and the PA announcer introduced our group…
It really is rough out there for strays. I thought about turning this kitten over to a rescue, but figured they would convince me to foster her and then I'd end up keeping her anyway.
Are you Mennonite or Church of the Brethren? I'm guessing you aren't Amish :) I went to a CoB college but knew a lot of Mennonites there.
I admit that the 20 minute run is looming ominously - I think it hits in two weeks, so I'll let you know how it goes. Are you still running?
I plan on doing a 5K sometime in November (I have a couple of work trips coming up this fall that will interfere with training, so I want to have a goal but with a little leeway). I am interested in an obstacle course race as well, but I think the ones in my area have already been done, so I'll have to wait until…
Of the three "runs" for week 3, two went smoothly, and one I thought I was going to hyperventilate and pass out during the 3 minute sections. Most of my friends here run and so I don't have anyone to really talk to about it so I appreciate you guys here!
I was 32 when I first left the U.S. and now I regularly work in a couple of other countries. I wish I had done some adventurous trip after college, or Peace Corp, or something like that, but I try to look at it now like I appreciate the experiences more having waited longer for them.
I have already forgotten the reference for this but still find it hilarious.
This might sound awful, but seeing older, overweight relatives struggle with their health serves as a reminder to me that my family tends to be long-lived at that it will be better for me to live those years in good shape.
Sigh…I knew that would be part of the equation!
I've been told both Tina Fey and Courtney Cox, although I don't quite see how those two people look anything alike. I definitely think I'm more on the Tina Fey end of things only much dorkier :)
