I think they did a great job of using Todd Packer sparingly enough so that he was a guy you loved to hate rather than the guy who brought the show down with his awfulness.

Those first few episodes with submissive Kelly are really jarring to watch now.

Is Pam's drunkenness really a cheat in this situation? Or does it just hit too close to home with me?  It seems perfectly natural to me that feelings you would normally suppress because of other romantic connections bubble to the surface when you are out and quite tipsy.

Yeah, this list is really uninspired.  I was really hoping for some hidden gems, but he seems really stuck in the 80s.

I actually prefer Spin City to Family Ties.  It was a solid comedy although as you say, reading this makes you wonder what could have been.  But I loved the cast and thought they really played well off each other.

I only wanted to know how it was!

I see that Bakersfield PD is at least on YouTube, but it's a shame it's not on DVD or streaming somewhere.  I seem to recall really liking it, but my memory of it is really hazy.  I think it would fit this category quite well, though.
