Shoot the shitty teenage friend at least…my god how stupid-irritating (I think she is meant to be funny-irritating)

People are the worst!!!

Really, except for a few clunkers I really like the reviews here.

Though she did ask him who was that? You may be right however, that was kind of the way I was leaning too before that scene. He doesn't have quite the gravitas of cancer man, but i like Chewin' man.

Did they indicate in the first episode that some very bad people also disappeared? If so does it make that theory problematic?

Good post and good points…I actually think the show does a fairly good job in the exploring loss thing. The whole sci-fi magic disappearance thing just seems to be a vehicle to address those feelings. I wonder if the show would be better off without the big Meta-mystery? It kind of feels like it may be one of those

I don't know, I don't think any kind of "A" is warranted for this episode, although I still liked it. I still like the weird vibe this show put outs: how to deal with this totally weird thing that happened. I'm not ecstatic about some of the execution however, and some of the acting is kind of crappy—IMO—. The most

24…who cares?

They really do an excellent job representing the book in the mini-series, and Anthony Andrews is perfect as Sabastian. I did struggle with how very British the book, I'm sure some of the nuances are lost in the translation…but lines like: "thin bat-squeak of sexuality" are just too good…

Yes, excellent points. Especially about dealing with people that have such a skewed view of reality. It reminds me of warnings about people with Borderline personality disorder; that you really just have to protect yourself in that exchange, and not hope to change them. There is a power to that magical kind of

Mad Anthony!!!

Glenn Beck is into BDSM? Ewwwwwwww

Did he really say that? What a Douche'

Is it really 72? I didn't realize it was that old…

"The total lack of self-awareness on the right, coupled with their monumental delusion and denial, reliably produces gems like this from time to time. Too funny!"

You would know….

They may indeed say both Hitler and Comstock are "Liberals", as a calculated projection, but that is so disingenuous as to be ludicrous, and everyone knows it. Speaking of Hitler…they probably use Hitler as an example, as he employed that dismal strategy over and over again. Shit is shit, you know it by its smell, you

Ya….who cares?

Oh cool! I love his writing (though it is too "florid" for some I guess)…do you mean the book or the mini-series. I think both are excellent!!

Ya that's a good point…boomers are kind of predatory on other generations.
