In terms of evolution a few thousands of years is basically no time at all.  The ridiculous thing isn't that they're -still- optimised to kill humans, it's that they're -already- optimised.

Gob isn't bi, he was just leaving.

Yeah, three episodes in my main thought was, holy shit, this is dark.

He was the season 2 and 3 MVP too.

In fanboy style, let's attribute everything good in it to Joss Whedon's influence, and everything bad to others not giving Joss the total creative control that is his birthright.

I'm guessing this album isn't really aimed at people who are interested in Charlemagne from a historical perspective so much as those who know him as a guy with a big beard and a sword who pulled disapproving facial expressions.

It's kind of amusing how he's managed to sidle into the category of 'respected elder statesman of British theatre' alongside John Hurt, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart etc etc despite the fact he became famous with films that were, at their best, entertaining drek.

Between this and the speed with which he confessed I was pretty certain he had an accomplice he was protecting.  But, nope, turns out it really was that easy.

I assumed they just had a mutual off-screen friend called Garrett Tony Hobbs and they don't want to mix them up.

Here's what bugged me - didn't he seem too old and frail to have put that totem pole up by himself?

It looked like a huge insect when viewed in soft focus

In b4 The Wire

The current guy (who as far as I can tell is close to a newcomer) is pretty fantastic.

Is he really the same character, or just a similar one played by the same actor?

A Vice President from Delaware?  Pssh, as if.

@avclub-9ff7c9eb9d37f434db778f59178012da:disqus I think you're right.  Gary mentioned being religious as a teenager, I expect that's got something to do with it.

Yeah, he has opinions on fashion and toiletries, so he MUST be gay.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure her being a former Senator from Maryland was confirmed somewhere or other.

"That's not racist.  I could have said Dublin… or Cardiff"
