I guess it depends how you define gay cinema —in terms of politics or showing men actually being physical.  This movie had a little of both, but the politics were handled subtly and so well.

I agree that the entire system doesn't work, but I still managed to trek to the comic shop every Wednesday when I was 15.  For anyone in a city it's not too hard, and now anyone outside of a city could order them (cheaper,even) online.

I hope this is true.  Marvel's left Brubaker on Cap for years and years.  But then they bumped Hickman off Fantastic Four, which still makes me sad.

I agree —Motion Sickness is great (HEY KCRW JUST STARTED PLAYING IT!).  There's another handful of really good songs, and overall it's excellent.  I think the ballads slow things down a bit, but even those songs are good in their own right.

CREATING HUMANS!  This is what irked me the most.  Unless you are a creationist, homo sapiens follow a line of descent back to other primates and mammals.  There is a path, and a tree, and a fossil record.
