That show was waaay more about the food than the US version, which was really about showcasing his temper and owners undeserving of his attention and the show's investment.

This show is never going to explain what happened. It isn't about that. It's about what happens in the face of significant change and upheaval. Angels or gatekeepers or screenings or deserving families or any machinations related to the Departure are not going to be plotted into this.

I don't watch this show but I'm often in the room when Mrs. Funkhouser (hates)watches it now. Meredith Grey is, was and will always be the worst character on the show. They should have killed her off any of the seventeen chances they had.
