I also had a VHS tape of all the random christmas shows recording circa mid to late 80's. Had Rudolf and Frosty, and the depressing Mickey Mouse Christmas Carol movie. I agree on the lack of energy in that concert. The prior concert a couple years before that was amazing, but they were done at this point. I don't think it's a Chris vs. Sean thing. Sean always gets to be the butt of their onstage jokes.

Related, go see these guys live if they are coming to your town. Their shows are fantastic.

The Hayloft song took me by surprise, but is pretty awesome. It reminded me of their shows in the mid 2000's when they would cover Brittney Spear's Toxic, to amazing results.

The movie looked stupid in the previews, but this review makes it sound pretty stupid too.  The same review could have been used for a C+ grade.  I'm more intrigued now, but it does feel like an 80's movie.  Maybe I'll see if netflix has Gleaming the Cube streaming.

Trent's been working/talking about releasing a remastered version of this as his next release.  Similar to what he did for Pretty Hate Machine.  I'm pretty sure my mp3's of the Fragile are ripped from a 2001 burn of the cd.  Probably the audio equivalent of taping it off the radio.

It's funny how in the 90's his music seemed so scary and satanic, but you listen to it now and it's just weird hard rock with a pop twist.  I still can't hear the Dope Show without having that horrible video image pop in my head.
