I think it was Behind the Music of Weird Al where Emo Philips showed his $.10 royalty check that he had recently received for UHF. He said it was the gift that kept on giving.

I don't remember the exact line, but I thought it was pretty hilarious. Something where Gloria asked him if he wanted to be rich to get girls, and his response was "I'd like it as an option." He said it so matter-of-fact that it cracked me up. It obviously works for his stepdad.
Why was Ginsberg so angry at the terribleness of that song? Was he trying to say what he thought Don was feeling about it? Or did that song just bother him at his core? Either way, he was hilarious in that scene.
My wife is 38 weeks pregnant. When Marshall offered to wear Lily's pregnant belly as a hat, Lily looked a little more excited than my misses at the prospect. :)
It was also funny how uncomfortable Don was when he showed up as Ken and Pete fawned over him like fanboys. It's great when Don just gets to show he's a regular dude….sometimes.
I highly recommend seeing these guys live. Their musicianship and joy they take out of playing makes it a lot of fun. And every time I've seen them it's been about $20. They tour like crazy.
Random question, but does L.A. put cages around all of their concrete walls to keep graffiti artists away?
That's how I talked my wife into the show. Damien Rice was supposed to open, but dropped out of the last couple of shows. Maybe even Damien couldn't handle the crazy. People were just flowing out of Chastain in Atlanta. Her band was stellar though.
She can't be totally crazy to hang out with the Watkins folks, can…
She shows up on the Watkins Family Hour podcast. It's a pretty great bluegrass-ish podcast that's free on iTunes, hosted by Sean and Sara Watkins of Nickel Creek. Typically Fiona is singing some old 40's tune.
Does anyone remember the Alf Christmas special? Probably the only kids christmas special with a lot of talk about suicide (Alf stops some guy from jumping off a bridge). I had it on a VHS tape I made of all the Christmas shows circa 1986 or so. I'd love to find that tape now just see all the old commercials, and…
yeah, I always figured the Cardinals was what he really wanted as a musician. Seemed like he tried hard to make it "The Cardinals" and not "Ryan Adams and The Cardinals". So to hear him knock the experience is a bit of a bummer. But I did see his last show with The Cardinals in Atlanta and it was really…
Please leave your jive-turkeying to a minimum.
They have their own show: http://www.hulu.com/watch/2…
Agreed. Us Atlantans are very lucky. Their Beatles and Rolling Stone bands are awesome too. It's amazing a one time gimmick to cover smooth sounds of the 70's and early 80's turned into something so popular they have a B band.
I saw them a couple years ago. Their backdrop video reminded me of a winamp visualization plugin from the mid 90's. Very cheesy and distracting. But the show was pretty good. I think he was more sobered up at that show than he is now.
The new STP album from last year was surprisingly solid and bluesy.
I still like em, but man that solo album and the Institute album are awful. The ladies seemed to like his last solo album. It had more hearts and flowers, less sex in your violence.
Teen Horniness….
Is Not a Crime
I really liked A Life Less Ordinary. Ewan and Cameron basically having gender role reversal. Delroy was the best part of that movie. I hope he's banging Holly Hunter in heaven.
