I loved the awkward moment when Barney is so close to the Laser Tag manager that they're very nearly kissing.

That moment was redeemed by Barney using a kid as a human shield. Fantastic.

There was a fantastic shot during the show (I think it was when Lil was performing, but maybe one of the other girls) when Paula was dancing around, and Kara was sitting there with a look of terror and disgust on her face.

One interesting aspect to this show that the "Save" has added is the parallel discussion of who would "deserve" the save if they were the lowest vote getter. If one of the following were to be on the bottom tonight, I think the judges would use their save:

I thought about that, JR, but they sat with Smokey the morning before the performance. I wondered if it wasn't possible to change the arrangement and rehearse it in time for the broadcast.

Fuck that, it was a one-hour show. I couldn't believe that when my wife and I watched Mad Men on DVR to get ahead of the broadcast on DVR, we joined in at the 55-minute mark. We were totally caught up by the end of the show.

I'm with you on Kurt Russell. Bourne. He looked EXACTLY like Russell on some of the straight-ahead shots.

I wonder if they're trying to get viewers hooked into the program before delving back into the mythology. I thought I remembered being promised that the show was going to become more mythology-heavy in Season 2, but that hasn't been the case so far.

Nina possesses Sarah-level hotness (good enough for you, Dorkinfo?). I'd like to see much, much more of her inupcoming episodes.
