I thought she looked a lot like a much younger Alyssa Milano, as well.  Then my wife said that she also looks a bit like Lily.  So we compromised with her being a Milano-Hannigan love child.

I don't think that Jay-Z's Black Album had any featuring artists.

My wife (a 1st grade teacher of 10 years now) was massively and completely infuriated with the show by the end.  The suggestion that there's something "wrong" with being a Kindergarten teacher, or that the career is somehow less rewarding than being someone's glorified personal shopper, was abhorrent to her.

They filmed the "Waterloo" scenes at Golfland at the U.S. 60 and Country Club Drive in Mesa.  The Banzi slide (Don't remember what they called it in the movie—it's what Napoleon goes down) is still there.

Yes.  Gratitude for Carla Gugino.  There are probably some reasons why it would suck to have Schmidt's job, but going to work every day would be something that I would enjoy were I in his shoes.

Yeah, like I recoil when I see her stupid smirking face and her false "oh, my God, you love me?!" expression.  It surprised no one when she won, but every time she's on stage, she affects this persona like she's completely bewildered that she's even there.

I thought this season was much better than the previous one, and I have a physical aversion to Melanie whenever I look at her.

The "gold man" was a former auditioner from two or three seasons back, and a really cool performer.  He was on a finale maybe last year?

I'm all in on this comment.  I was pissed that Cyrus chose last week's dance (when IMO he was dominated physically and in performance by tWitch) over what I thought was a superior routine.

Really?  I don't think that Crowe's least successful work is as bad as, say, North or Rumor Has It.

I also disagree with "top notch criticism."  I'd much rather re-read David Foster Wallace's essays than Klosterman on most things.  But I love Klosterman on the B.S. Report when he comes on; he's a great interviewer (his interview with Joe Walsh of the Eagles is totally worth a download).
