No, I had the same reaction. I could piece together what was going on, but not enough to really care. I'm keeping it on my pull list for now. I also wasn't that drawn to the art (personal taste I guess).

I've never cared much for her '80s stuff. For me Madonna got interesting around "Erotica" and hit her peak with "Music."

I like how they dole out the back story, so by the time it's completely over-the-top crazy, you're already hooked.

Julie Doucet is great, I have some of the original Dirty Plotte comics. Shame she retired from drawing comics tho' according to Wikipedia she is still active in the arts.
