Am I wrong for liking Nacho Libre? I mean, it was fairly disposable, but I enjoyed it.

But wouldn't they wear, like, waterproof stuff?

But I interpreted "Kid who doesn't talk because of Nietzsche" as a comical exaggeration of an actual type, rather than trying to portray that type realistically.

With a LOSTTIME license plate, no less.

makes one person buy four less comics per month but another buy twelve more comics a month

Long enough for Mysterio to cheat her out of her life savings!

Man-Bat! Wait, wrong universe…

I'm reading the Moon Knight "Epic" collection, and … long stretches of it are really bad! But it's interesting to see how the character developed.

That's why I try to get invested in particular writers and artists, rather than characters.

Yeah, I know — it's a childish response. Also, you're not the boss of me!!!

jump the gun on the long-in-the-works Crisis

Exactly. I have no problem with rebooting or re-imagining characters, that can actually keep them fresh. But this is just the publishing version of click-bait.

So, I don't mind continuity per se, it's the obsession with cross-title continuity over all else, to the point where even reboots need a complex back story to justify them.

Are you saying that Marvel "continuity" was always completely insane?

I loved that story line.

Female Thor always felt a bit like a gimmick. One that I approve of … but I always figured they would go back to "real" Thor at some point. (Caveat: I haven't actually been reading Thor.)

I think the obsession with continuity is a large part of what's ruined superhero comics. I have no problem with a writer re-imagining a character.

Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, She-Hulk, Captain Marvel, Doop, Angela.

Yeah — right now I'm reading Ms Marvel, Captain Marvel, and Silver Surfer. Besides being good, those titles all have the advantage of being somewhat detached from the rest of the Marvel universe (although nominally in it).

In other news, my pull list will probably get (somewhat) shorter.
