RED SNAPPER! VERRY TASTY!

And Ghost in the Shell: SAC has disappeared off Netflix UK. Bah indeed!

It's something, but it's not enough.

I remember being immensely disappointed at the time that Anthony Head's headmaster character didn't get eaten in loving homage to BtVS.

Yaaaaay!

"Muldaur requested to not be listed as a regular."

I've watched two now. So if you've seen the second by Monday, then we can talk about both. Otherwise just the one.

Hi. Are you mainly using this account now rather than the other one?

Yeah, January is just hellish in accounting. I know, I used to be an auditor.

I live in the UK. It feels like it's rained every day now for months.

I'd agree that the natural reading of the text is that it's criticising Wallace. But if you don't notice the "Boo! Boo! Boo!" part, or like @avclub-339de039a15a9bd17e4a7029af77b55b:disqus above don't attach much weight to it, the lines:
"In Birmingham they love the Governor,
Now we all did what we could do"

Well, I wasn't around at the time, but my understanding is that in contemporaneous interviews Ronnie Van Zant was pointing out the "Boo! Boo! Boo!" part as evidence that the lyrics about Birmingham and The Governor being widely misunderstood.

I'm liking this not out of any desire to see Bob Seger dead, just for @GuyIncognitoII:disqus 's delightful trollery.

What @avclub-869518a629546a782e1548ccc1cdfb27:disqus said.
The song's largely written in response to Neil Young's "Southern Man" and what they saw, in Ronnie Van Zant's words, as Young "shooting all the ducks to kill one or two".

That neither M*A*S*H* nor The Naked Gun are on here makes me feel like I just don't know this place anymore.

Thank you! I mentioned it fairly late in an AVQ&A three weeks ago, but otherwise haven't posted much since she was born, for the simple reason that it turns out babies are a bit time-consuming.
(And the other simple reason, that this is the first week since she was born that I've been back at work).

On the subject of other TV shows: want to talk about an ep of Spiral next week? Maybe AVQ&A on Monday, or I can join the TI forum on Weds?

I've just remembered that right after Sisko ignores Worf telling him that the energy field will probably destroy the shuttlecraft, he tells O'Brien and Bashir to come with him. And neither of them object in the slightest.

Shit. Must remember to do that when the time comes to toddler-proof the house.

Maybe one of them is a fan of Tarzan movies and they wanted to see Johnny Weissmuller compete in the Olympic Games.
