20 WEEK ULTRASOUND SCAN THREAD

I'm not going to make that B5 joke for you @Douay-Rheims-Challoner . As we all know, B5 was four seasons and a short fifth mini-season reprise of about 5 or 6 episodes.

Understatement time: Mass Effect certainly owes a significant debt to Babylon 5. Less well known is that the ME3 denouement set in London owes a great

Hey, thinking about this. Funny that you mentioned a few weeks ago Alistair being a bit like Carth Onasi. The main vibe I'm getting from Carth is agitated paranoiac. It doesn't help that the character animation when he talks (which always results in him getting increasingly exasperated) is him waving his blaster

Only other thing I have against it is that Schwarzenegger blinks just about every time he fires a gun in Terminator. I find it difficult to fanwank an explanation for that.

Nope. It didn't do it for me either. Even Durka Returns didn't really sell itself to me - though a clear uptick in quality from some earlier eps.

Augh John, but on the other hand, yay Rigel!

I shall not puke
Puke is the buzz-killer
Puke is the little-death which brings total obliteration
I shall face my nausea
I will permit it to pass over me and through me
And when it has gone past I shall turn the inner eye to see its path
Where the puke has gone there will be nothing… Only I will remain.

The sex change has done her good. I like her much more as a woman.

I love the way that HK-47 is just desperate to avoid become a protocol droid for some middle-of-nowhere moisture farmer.

Not much pop cuture for me this weekend. I drove 250 miles to the Lake District to drink beer with some friends in the rain, then drove back again on Sunday.

Wild at Heart was my first Lynch film and my favourite film between the ages of about 15 to 19. Watching part of it again recently on TV, Diane Ladd is just mesmerising. And the car crash scene becomes more powerful every time I see it.

The Durka fakeout, followed by Rygel carrying his head on a stick as a trophy, was a highlight in set of episodes where a big goofy grin was slapped more or less permanently on my face.

One of the things I enjoyed so much about the Buffy/Angel and the Star Trek reviews is that they've gone on for such a long time.

Dune
All of a sudden things took a turn and I got really dizzy and then I puked

Are you kidding? This was brilliant. You probably didn't realise but the name "Hu Flung Pu" is phonetically identical to the phrase "Who Flung Poo?". So there's a cross-cultural misunderstanding that the lady who's been hit by some thrown faeces (never mind why, it's not important) thinks that he threw it, but

Almost. Tasha started with "At one point in Kick Ass 2, the antagonist sets out to prove his dominance over a specific superhero by raping the guy's lover"
