@avclub-615e85318c18d18b6901b69196261c5e:disqus - I'm sure some people here manage 2000 words a day 7 days a week just in AV Club comments.

Including the very first paragraph in both reviews.

Yeah, that's *exactly* the one I was thinking of. But most of them seem to have a similar exposition delivery system.

We're supposed to be listening to these?

A Mazda RX-8, which I owned from 2006 to 2008.

Edit - nevermind. On second thoughts, I guess Predator isn't really a blockbuster as such.

Congratulations on the good job news! Did you check whether the AV Club was accessible as part of the interview/selection process?

Fuck, I've lost my iphone.

Related to @unicyclistperiscopes:disqus story: when I was little I asked my grandfather whether he had a gun in the war. He had been in the Signals, so he told me that he had a motorbike instead.

Hi Binky! Are you going to let Claudia know that there's a BSC thread over here?

What really gets me is the way in which his twin fixations seem to be inbreeding and racial intermixing. One might have thought that an obsession with one would naturally preclude the other. Guess not.

Yes, I really enjoyed "Whisperer in Darkness". The denouement is one which is genuinely creepy. And it's interesting reading something where then-recent discovery of Pluto is a plot point (undercut somewhat by its modern downgrade to not being a proper planet).

I like this and at the same time it makes me sad. Such a waste of a good writer.

Thanks. I'll give that one a go. I read a whole bunch of them last year, but just gave up about a third of the way through The Shadow Over Innsmouth.

Ok, ok, getting off your lawn.

You were five when H.P. Lovecraft died?

They do pretty much follow a formula:

Needs more Therapy?

Actually we're not. I'm a manifestation of @LurkyMcLurkerson:disqus 's subconscious. Fight Club style.
