What Would Jack Burton Do

I'm literally the same way with animal violence and trust me when I say you'll be fine with D. As a matter of fact, though it gets rough in the middle it shouldn't be anything you can't handle, and the ending is fantastic.  It's probably my favorite of the whole anthology, and I liked the movie as a whole a lot more

Same here.  Shepherd's Dog was great straight through (and something about Carousel kills me every goddamn time), but Kiss Each Other Clean got listened to about 5 times before it made its way off my iPod.  Returning to it recently didn't change that.

Two things:

The term "lifetime pass" was basically created for Bowie.

Ask and ye shall receive:

All good choices, but you seem to have forgotten a little song called Hey Leonardo.

As I said on my Twitter:  "Stoker: Directed by Chan-wook Park, scored by Clint Mansell, and hated by Rex Reed.  I'm pre-ordering a ticket for Sunday"  Yeah, I'm pretty excited to see this.

@avclub-1b1f9a3e639ecc53f335314fc9d8403b:disqus Holy shit, that EW thing is why I saw it too!  It was like a year or so after it had hit video and somehow I had this vague memory of a movie mentioned as being really scary in that feature.  All I remembered was that it had David Caruso.  A quick search of his name on

@avclub-51b8ec18b007a4d21f8b38c48cf2c268:disqus In the commentary they mention that there was next to no set-dressing aside from putting up some pictures of Gordon's family and a few other odds-and-ends.

Goddamn I love the idea of a Criterion release of this, my favorite horror film of the 2000s, so much that I could kiss you right on the (bleep).

@avclub-cd01e5786d65f27654ca570edef28c69:disqus Miss Sweeny is one of the top 3 later-Weezer songs. It's great.

Gene Hackman: "You just killed a man without a Twitter account!"

He's also weird as all fuck.  There was a Rolling Stone article on them around the time either "Green" or "Maladroit" came out, and there was one part where he pulled pizza crusts out of a fanny-pack and ate them while speaking to the reporter.

@avclub-0f0d67e214f9fef69b278e3d08114da9:disqus I don't disagree with what you're saying at all.  I guess it just doesn't bother me as much as some (most, really).  It IS disappointing when you (very) occasionally see that he's capable of better on the newer albums.  But he's also put out enough music I've enjoyed

The Green Album has "Photograph", therefore it can't be a bad album.

That goddamn picture is hilarious.

@avclub-f0a25fc22f6198ce61fe90730dc075e1:disqus Which is why I hope at some point in the future they go back to the well (as they do with his outfits) to more "Cyril can't draw for shit" jokes.  Because seriously, the reveal to his snake drawing is one of the absolute funniest moments in the entire series.  I was

I actually liked this.  It just kind of happened.  I had it on while I was looking over the comments and realized "Wait, this is kind of awesome" about half way in.

"How Soon Is Cow?"
