What Would Jack Burton Do

See, I have "From Beyond", "The Burning" and "Phantasm II" already on DVD. Aside from "Phantasm II", there isn't enough added to get me to double-dip. As much as I want to support whatever they put out, I also don't have the money to buy everything.  But they've gotten quite a bit from me in the last few years.

As much as I love Monster Squad (and I do. That LG release was a first-day purchase for me) there's literally no way I'd pay $57 for it.

Yes, it's on my next-to-buy list! I actually have yet to see "Terrorvision" but I love "The Video Dead"  Shout/Scream Factory is the best thing to happen to home video releases in ages.  They have yet to have a miss.  And they also just dropped "The Nest"!

I am so, so glad I swooped up the Lion's Gate SE DVD of "Monster Squad" when it came out.  The better picture quality of the Blu-Ray is completely ruined by the lack of features.  Especially ones as strong as the Lion's Gate DVD offered.

In related news, "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" has subsequently been removed from the set list.

I've probably listened to this 15 times since they posted it to their Facebook page.  And that was like 3 hours ago.

Also Bryan Cranston.

It's the "So give me a break" at the end that takes it from "mild-annoyance" to "makes me teeth hurt infuriating".

RICK: "Carl, I'm going to need you to stop using guns.  You know why."
CARL: "No, why dad?"
RICK: "Because of Sandy Hook."
CARL: "What's Sandy Hook?"
RICK: "You know, Sandy Hook"
CARL: …..
RICK: "I SAID PUT DOWN THE GODDAMN GUN!!"

See, I actually didn't mind the "crazy Rick talking" moments.  I know it's divided here, but I actually think Andrew Lincoln is a pretty good actor, and I thought his little conversation with Hershel was a decent little scene.

When he did that, it seriously might be the hardest I've laughed at anything ever.

Yeah, and I have no real issue with fun. for that reason.  Shit, I love "Aim & Ignite".  Actually, I like some of the newest album too.

First thing I thought of when I saw this.  God, I really miss The Format.

Was there some sort of shifting of opinion  that I missed?  Didn't most people love "Angles" when it was released?  Or was it just me?

Also, "12:51".

♫Way down in the blowhole♫

This is probably the album I'm most excited for this year.  And I'm so glad it's coming out when it is, which is when it starts to get warm in Ohio, and that's pretty much a perfect time to listen to Phoenix.

@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus I just love "Annie Waits" so much.

Goddamn, thank you.  And if you want to see just how much a few months can change people's opinions, go read the comments on the AV Club review for "El Camino".  Basically the polar-opposite of this.

It's been hard for me to hate the character because I love Rooker so goddamn much.
