What Would Jack Burton Do

Seriously, as if I don't already like him enough, then he has to go and praise my favorite horror film of the last 15 years.

And yet "According To Jim" got 8 full seasons.  I WANT JUSTICE DAMMIT!

Aren't you the same guy who went on and on about how hip-hop as a genre is shit in between shouting to the zero people who cared about how much you hate Kanye West one time?

As much as I love his "what?" there, the "Where'd you get that?" that he follows it up with is even better.

That's hilarious.

Gah!  I live in Ohio, and that's close enough to drive to.  I wish I had known about this, because I would have gone.  I could imagine how amazing it would look on a big screen.

Nice to see "Noroi" get a mention.  The final five minutes of that movie (after the credits have started and you think it's over) is "hold your breath" scary.

I'm not sure if anyone's still reading this far, or if anyone has mentioned this in the 1,400 replies thus far, but the "Drop Of Water" sequence from Bava's film "Black Sabbath" is one of the creepiest things ever made.  And, it's split into 3 parts on Youtube! Do yourself a favor, and watch this in the dark.

Man, that is an amazing way to put it.  I get legitimately angry when people call that movie boring.  I just watched it a few weeks ago (which is probably the 12th time I've seen it), and it still holds up so well.

Good God, yes.  THIS picture still scares the fuck out of me.

See, I have the Shriek Show 2-disc Zombie DVD, which I think has all of the same features the Blu Ray has, so I went with "HBtC", but I would have chosen "Zombie" over "HBtC" had that not been the case.  You chose wisely.

I would have assumed Dr. Freudstein would be more concerned with the brand new Blu Ray and DVD of "House By The Cemetery" that came out yesterday.  I'd let you know how it is, but MY PRE-ORDER STILL HASN'T ARRIVED IN THE MAIL!!!

So, "Some Kind Of Monster House", then?

Holy shit, it's uncanny!

"Pieces" is seriously in my top 10 favorite movies of all time, if we're going on a "enjoyment I get from watching it" scale.  It's probably my favorite rainy-day, down in the dumps movie.  It never fails to put me in a great mood.

This just made me laugh out loud

@avclub-749a8e6c231831ef7756db230b4359c8:disqus Will do.  Thanks for the heads-up.

I almost had the news semi-ruined. I went to Yahoo as soon as I read Gary's reply, and since I live in Ohio Yahoo does local news on the front page too, and there was an article on "Joe The Plumber" (remember that fucking guy? I sure didn't), which taught me two things:

1.  He's running for Congress.
2.  He's still a

Being that I hadn't checked the news in a little bit, it makes me genuinely happy that I learned this news from you Gary X, and in that manner.

I can't help but be reminded of that one classic "Onion" headline:  "School Bully Not So Tough Since Being Molested"
