@Meh05g Stone Mountain was the WORST. I am glad you agree. I also liked the live episode—I thought it showed just what great performers the cast is, though I understand Nathan's gripes with it. And yes, I know about The Parent Trap connection. Amazing how many people know that reference.

I'd love to recap it, but I don't think I can access it, either. I'll have to see if it's on Hulu Plus, though I doubt it.  Interesting that they were all jealous of Julie. I do remember that reunion…I think they did the first three seasons at once, or something like that?

Oh, weird. Looks like an editing mishap. I'll take a look. Thanks for that. It was supposed to be crossed out, sarcastically.

Kevin mentions that pretty explicitly, actually. He says something to Julie along the lines of "look at what happened in LA." But yeah, the context is sort of missing from the episode.

Yeah, I noticed the staginess in this episode too, especially when they're out on the street; it's very clear there was a two-camera set-up on Kevin and Julie throughout the fight.

Hey guys-I know it's not the preferred nomenclature and I was using it somewhat ironically. I figured on a show where the hero throws around the word "mulatto," I might get a pass on "Jewess." In any case, no offense intended. Plus, when I hear "Jewess," I don't think of Nazis, I think of this, which makes me laugh: ht

I almost mentioned this in my stray observations. It was weird.

It wasn't so much what he said as how he said it.

Oh, yes. Thanks for that. I'll correct.

I think the repeated mention of Pinkberry was a humorous, oblique way of pointing out what a ridiculous-sounding name "Pinkberry" is. This is something Larry /Curb does a lot—repeat a particularly dumb word/phrase in order to highlight its silliness.

Oh God, that was the best freak-out ever. His Masshole accent makes it at least 5x more awesome.

Oh dear lord, I didn't notice the Looney Tunes shirt. That is a guaranteed ladyboner killer. Poor Becky.

Oh Gosh, my bad. They look (and sound) so much alike. Thanks for catching that. I'll correct!

Just to clarify the A+
I know you guys know this already, but an A+ for Curb means an A+ for Curb. Each show is graded against itself, meaning that I thought this was more or less the perfect episode (of Curb), and I do. I'd put it among the top 5 episodes of the series.

@Prof Falken Yes, they cut it an a way that emphasizes the grittiness of his old neighborhood—shots of him walking in front of graffiti, looking out the window at what are obviously housing projects, etc.

Stoking The Killing hatred
Just to harp on the subject as much as possible, it's insane to me that The Killing pilot (which I liked) actually got nominated. Not just because the series as a whole was, ultimately, a suck-fest (side note: do Emmy voters *really* just consider single episodes for these nominations, as if

Thank you. That explains why my quick Google search turned up exactly one (inaccurate) Yiddish website and a whole lot of items about Shonda Rhimes.

So true.

@Automaton Seriously?? If he is then we need to tell the world about this.

Yes. Eric is very upset because, among other things, someone left a bowl of raw meat on the counter.
