How does this finale stack up to the Danish Original
OK, so one thing I've been wondering about since Sunday is how this finale stacks up to the original, which I have not seen. Oddly, despite the firestorm of anger unleashed at Veena Sud, AMC, et al, I haven't heard much about that and I'm curious if it's *entirely*

Yeah it's mostly just really , really cheesy.

VERY awkward.

Yes. Also huge: adult illiteracy.

I'm 31 and I started watching the show as soon as it debuted, when I was 12. I was maybe a tad precocious but I think a lot of people my age grew up watching this series. I think part of the appeal was that it was about older people. When you're a nerdy middle-schooler, you fantasize about living in a cool loft in

Me too!

I'd also like to add that it's not even that I'd necessarily prefer sketchy New York, it's just fun to see it that way.

Thanks for the tip!

For the record, Rachel (hot chick from SF) is married to Sean Duffy, of the Boston cast and now a freshman Republican in the House of Representatives (for realsies). Pam is married to dickless Judd, also of SF cast, or at least she was last time I googled them.

I think I'd keep watching just to find out who did it. Though I liked this episode, my investment in the show is still entirely intellectual (i.e. wanting to know who did it, but not really CARING about the answer). But I'm not sure—it's one of those things I ask myself and I don't honestly know the answer. Sorry

@Not the real Randy Jackson: Agreed. This ought to have appeared around episode 6 or 7.

Oh, good call. I was thinking maybe it was a Narcotics Anonymous thing, as someone else suggested.

Right, I'm assuming that too…but it all suggests he's a little reckless with his money, so maybe there's some gambling debt or something else we don't know about…

Ha! Such a good call. It was like her way of buffering very harsh criticism.

@MrSteveMartin I'm not sure I'd want to throw back a beer with Rosie, but she at least had some insight and seems to know her shit. But the admin calling her in the car thing was so ridiculus. Especially because it was obviously all filmed on the same day. (All I could think was: Man, that must have been a really long

@Lemur I also hate the title. "In Heels" has become the go-to suffix for any book, show, or movie involving women, and it makes me nuts.

Sorry, I can bring it back next week. I just felt so…uninspired this time. And we all know it's Belko, right?

Agreed. The perfect vintage jukebox was a particularly schmaltzy touch.

@Bleedforme Sorry about the late post, there was a minor technical glitch on our end. Apologies to all for the suspense, though maybe it was welcome after this episode. Hey-o!

@Jimmy Cokes I thought of that piece. It was in the Washington Post and it was the most horrifying thing I have ever read. That did cross my mind when I was writing this up so maybe I am just dead wrong. But something about the circumstances (i.e. the car actually running) made it seem so much more unbelievable.
