Craig Ferguson? He left his show in 2014, but yeah, that was a tough loss too.

Colbert, Letterman, and now Stewart. This has been a tough year. Vaya con Dios, Jon, and thanks.

Throwing a football into someone's groin in the dark? You better believe that's a paddlin'.

I'm reading 'Battle Cry of Freedom,' a terrific one-volume history of the Civil War. Nearly all of the Southerners' words could have been spoken by members of the GOP base in 2015 with no modifications whatsoever.

Ok, so they screwed up the Four… again. I do like the Wire-alumni count though (Cathey and Jordan). I think the secret ingredient is more Wire alums for the next FF reboot. I'm thinking Clarke 'Cool Lester Smooth' Peters as Reed. Idris Elba would be a compelling Dr Doom. And if it was my money paying for it, Snoop

David Miscavige (all 5' 1" of him) and his attorneys will be contacting you shortly.

Hear hear! Mine's still around too, although he had a cloth nose that fell off ages ago instead of a plastic one.

So are mine! But they're always quick to remind me of my place in the pecking order.

To be fair, everyone acts like an asshole in 'Snoopy Come Home.' I watched it recently, and I couldn't believe how mean-spirited it was. Schulz & Company must have all been going through some dark times.

Another cat owner here; they know and understand, they just don't care.

And now I'm daydreaming about the ultimate Del Toro movie: a loose adaptation of Mountains of Madness where it's Hellboy and an army of Jaegers who discover and explore the lost city, leading to copious amounts of ass-kicking. And throw in Cthulu even though he's not in the original story.

Uh, I'd also like to express my fondness for that particular comment.

POSSIBLE 'WIRE' SPOILERS

"That said, I'd love to hear some day in the future what his plans for that film would've been if Heath Ledger hadn't passed away."

Always with the hi hat…

Season 2 is terrific, but once you finish Season 3 & 4, you'll see why people who have seen the whole run kind of dismiss Season 2 as a weird digression. It's Season 5 that's problematic, although 'problematic' by 'Wire' standards still equals 'amazing' by regular TV standards.

Agreed. It's all that sumbitch Reagan's fault. They say he's a decent man, so maybe his advisers are confused.

Ok, fine, 'Out of Time' has "Shiny Happy People", but it also has "Half a World Away", "Belong", "Country Feedback", "Texarkana", and "Near Wild Heaven", so anyone who speaks ill of it can kiss my ass. And without this album, there's no 'Automatic for the People' either.

Jeez, that puts it in perspective. I sometimes wonder what Jimi Hendrix would be doing now if he were still with us, and while I like to imagine that he'd still be making daring, cutting-edge new music, it's more likely that he'd be touring as a washed-up nostalgia act.
