I would guess that the band director didn't, either. You get a stipend to work those games, but it doesn't mean you like it. (I was a band director for three years, I know the joy of pep band all too well)

"I'm heading to Taco John's until this blows over…"
I don't care if it's been said before, but I'll quote it now: "I REGRET NOTHING!" is my go-to quote from that movie, which I say more often than I probably should.
No, it is. Krankor totally says that in Prince of Space.
I'd say probably not. The learning curve on some things is low (building factories and such) but high on other things (air warfare). But I enjoy jumping in and figuring things out as much as possible, and if you like the warfare of Civilization and not so much everything else Civ has to offer, it's your game. It's not…
I'll be continuing to try and grasp all that there is to grasp in Hearts of Iron 4. Pretty much my PC, an older one at that, is dedicated to only 4x games now; anything else I play on consoles with my friends.
Wait people hate those episodes? I love those episodes, especially the second one.
My friend who goes to Cons in Chicago always talks about when he got the cast of TNG to sign stuff, Spiner was being his usual dry self. My friend doesn't care who you are, he'll dish it right back, so he started smart-talking back. He moves down the line, and Frakes asks him, "Is Spiner being an asshole again?"
*ahem* Allow me to be nerd pedantic and point out that it wasn't Area 51 but the air base at Roswell, since they were filming the moon landing at Area 51 at the time.
Ormul is love. Ormul is life.
WHERE'S FIREFLY?
The one thing I liked about Letterman, he wasn't afraid to show how uninterested he was in certain guest's projects/life/whathaveyou.
You make a couple of good points. The Republicans had, what, 20 some candidates? And not a single candidate was worth a pile of shit. Bush, whom most figured was going to get it, was only going to get it on name alone, not so much for his governance of Florida.
This is a very good point. We're still having gun regulation debates long after children were massacred in their schoolrooms. Nothing changed then; nothing will probably ever change.
Rumsfeld: "Ahhyuckyuck!"
I love how the winner take all bullshit was designed to usher in Bush again. He was the presumptive nominee, after all, and they just wanted to make sure he could win his home state.
I also think Letterman was the best person to usher in late night television in the days after 9/11. His monologue was excellent, Dan Rather as a first guest was great, and then finally Regis Philbin, with whom he had a great relationship with, to let us all start laughing again.
Oh no no no, you don't get it. They love the troops, just not, you know, enough to actually care for their wellbeing or anything like that. Once you can no longer fight, all you get is a handshake and "thanks for your service."
Yeah, but he wasn't just shitting on McCain, but POWs in general. For a population that loves to claim to be all about supporting the troops, they pretty quickly turned heel.
I can't imagine anyone else being in charge and dealing with the utter horror that was Sandy Hook as well as President Obama.
