Yeah, they may take more chances by airing a show like Lone Star, which might not have gotten picked up by another network, but just because it under-performs once doesn't mean it won't do better. Yeah, 12 million people watched the Fat Show, but that doesn't mean they will keep watching it. They might try Lone Star

Great point. I always figured he was an Admiral because he was placed in charge of the Cybernetics division, either throughout Starfleet or just in the area near where the Daystrome Institute he was in charge of was.

Wow
I had no real interest in watching the show, but man. Fox just doesn't like to take chances. Are they that close to going bankrupt or something?

That's a good question, Jimmy. The only reason I can see is because Picard's little jump seemed necessary: he had to get to tactical and it was the easiest way to do so. I always saw Geordi's roll to be neat, but not necessary. He could usually just have run and ducked to get out of the warp core area.

They cause corporations to go bankrupt?

I hope so, otherwise Ack Ack works for the dumbest company of all time.

I'd much rather watch Letterman interview someone like Paris Hilton or Snooki simply because he WOULD give them the business. Jay Leno would never get snarky with his guests.

Agreed. That's what stood out for me re-watching the episode… realizing that Picard only calls Riker Commander. And not only do they not have the relationship they do in the real universe, but to me it seems their relationship in this alternate one is strained… like Riker doesn't think Picard has what it takes to be

Porkchop: Pretty much. There's a way people have retconned the fact that several times during TNG's run they mention the fact that only 5 Federation starships have had the name (six by the time of First Contact). Basically since it was pre-Federation, it doesn't count. Or something.

What do they do when they take their kids to the beach? They'll see more cleavage and ass there then in the two minutes Katy Perry was on screen.

It looks like someone forgot the lesson about not getting angry and hurting other people's feelings. DID YOU NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THOSE EPISODES?!

The Final Battle…
I just rechecked and they had to cut things from the final battle with the Klingons including Wesley Crusher being decapitated and Data being electrocuted to death. I imagine Wesley's decapitation would have never flown, or they would have done something else.

I know they had some novels featuring the Enterprise-B, putting it at the Tomed Incident which caused the Romulans to basically go into hiding for however long. I never have read them, but I know that Harriman (aka Cameron) steps down as Captain and Demora Sulu eventually becomes the captain.

Tasha
I always liked how the episode didn't make a huge deal out of Tasha suddenly being back. There was no big moment in the musical score, or "surprise" shot of her character- she was just there.

God damn it, Nemesis. What a piece of shit.

Not a Firstie…
Zach, the first female captain we see is in Star Trek IV. The commander of the Saratoga was a woman.

LetEnglandSlide: I'm pretty much in the same boat as you with always hating the Brady Bunch and loving most of the shows you list. I think that's sort of why I hated it: like Noel says, there was no real motivation for an episode beyond a silly, stale idea. Meanwhile, on the other channel, Batman The Animated Series

KOSKI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frank Sinatra
All kinds of awesome.

Well there's my vote for the worst user name ever.
