"Children! We've just learned the Marines have invaded the Falkland Islands! Remain calm! The Falklands are an island chain that is in dispute…"

"Because you need me, Springfield. Your guilty conscience may force you to vote Democratic, but deep down, you secretly long for a cold-hearted Republican to lower taxes, brutalize criminals and rule you like a king!"

The Previously On Montage…
I wish they would have kept the "Previously on Buffy" montage for The Gift. It shows every single episode of Buffy up to that point… going faster and faster, until it hits the opening. It made it that much better, I thought.

You've never seen depression until you've seen Season 6. Jesus, it's a tough one.

Well if hell is like the Sarlacc I'll start wearing my jet pack again and blast my way out.

From Calumet City, Illinois…
The opening of The Blues Brothers grabbed me and it never let go. Watching that movie for the first time was just an awesome experience.

Agreed. One of my all-time favorite movies. That first scene hooked me- "He hates these cans! Get away from the cans!" made if a favorite.

I wish I could have seen some of the original trilogy in theaters on opening day. Instead, I saw Phantom Menace two days after it opened, and Eps II and III opening night. Saw each one with my dad, who in turn had taken my older brothers to see all of the orignals when they were younger.

I read Breakfast of Champions first, and I'll admit it was based off this site's suggestion. Vonnegut was something I always wanted to read, but never got the chance until a few years ago.

It's a more popular piece, but the first time I heard Bach's Organ Fugue in G Minor I was hooked, although I need a specific organ" sound" for any piece with an organ- nice and deep, not bright.

Good point about the world being "lived in" idiotking. And if you were a SimCity and Civ addict, I'm sure you're just as excited to lose some sleep when Civ 5 comes out in a 4 weeks.

I can only use my 360 right now for Netflix, and lately there have been a couple of times where the bandwidth will change from full bars to… full bars. So that's something.

He's back, and thank god.

This does make me want to Netflix it when it comes out; probably still won't see it in the theaters.

I get them confused as well.

One of the best Futurama gags ever.

I might have watched Will and Grace if it had more arm breaking.

I liked Winchester's breakdown in the final episode as well… smashing the Beethoven (or was it Bach… can't remember) record he once cherished so much.

The episode from the perspective of the dead soldier was interesting for me when I was younger. It's been done more since then, but I always found the ending pretty moving: the soldier ending up on a long stretch of road, other soldiers- from both sides- and civilians walking along, in no rush.

I wish I had watched REC instead of Quarantine, but now I can never go back.
