Constant815 and I agree!

I watched it casually (never live) through Season 6, but I gave up during Season 7. I mean, birthing in a manger, or whatever that was? Jeez.

Bones used to a least be funny. Now it's sanctimonious.

Man, it's hard to think that United States of Tara was so recent. I'm thoroughly enjoying The Borgias too.

So, what Showtime show of recent hasn't tailed off completely in its third season? Shameless?

I don't think the choice has necessarily been made yet. What this episode — in its rapid pace — did portray very successfully was the ambiguity of every decision being made. Nothing with Peter's or Alicia's feelings feel definite.

I loved this episode, but did it also seem a bit hurried and messy?

So is Jack tanking it by renewing Parenthood? (either way, don't care. AAAAHHHH!!!!!)

The cinematography of this show is just amazing. Just wow.

Well, S7 turning out the way it did was also ASP's fault.

Speaking of that, Nancy Crozier also serves as a good foil/parallel to Alicia's development. Not playing the hokie card as often anymore, which was the sign of her innocence.

I agree with your viewpoints, absolutely. Although it seems like the Kings are trying to make this contrast blatantly obvious, and that's diminishing the thematic power of it for me.

That just might be worse than the food porn we were subjected to earlier this season.

I've just re-watched all of TGW, and it's so apparent to me now that the show's lost that early drive that made the show network TV's best drama for the past few years.

As long as it's not as sanctimonious and crappy as The Newsroom.

It's the show that annoys me the most. All of my friends who think they watch good TV (and ridicule me b/c I will always assert that Cougar Town is one of the better sitcoms on air) say that this show is amazing, when it's in fact just decent. It's very meh, and the writing got very lazy in the middle of the run.

No mention of The Americans reference?

It makes it so obvious that Kapnek has the golden touch over this show. It's also clear that Suburgatory isn't a show that can really withstand a long season. All those dramatic arcs were structured to be resolved within a few episodes, and that left a very squalid middle of the season.

If this episode is what turns out to be the series finale, that would be tremendously unsatisfying.

The face gets older and older though.
