Daphne has Sarah Braverman-syndrome.

The show doesn't know what to do with him. Well, plus, Jake T. Austin is not the best actor by any means…

How about The Fosters? Was I mistakenly watching Parenthood?

Yes. I don't think Joel's blameless in this mess — even back to season one, he's been stubborn and hesitant at times —, but everything boils down to Julia's inability to communicate and compromise. She's quite self-absorbed.

Fwiw, I contend that the writers haven't really changed Joel's character much. We just never saw this side of him at-length, since Joel and Julia's marriage was never challenged to this point. He's always been stubborn, self-conscious, and emotionally restrained.

- Jasmine is absolutely Braverman of the Week.
- Joel and Julia's marriage has always teemed with trouble: Joel's stubborn, avoids confrontation, and never trusted Julia enough with his feelings and emotions; Julia's too type-A and straight-and-narrow. Neither was really ever willing to find a middle ground in their

I'm actually a fan of this Julia and Joel marriage plot. The seeds for this have been sewn for years, even since season 1. Julia has always been insecure (even spanning back to Season 1 with Racquel), and Joel has always been equally stubborn (wanting to go through the path of least confrontation w.r.t. the children).

I have a feeling it'll end up settling into a comfort food groove like Cougar Town did.

I thought this episode was excellent, but it's an A- in my book. I understand why the thematic shading was really obvious, but it still irked me a little.

Highlight of the season.

What happened to the community grade?

Why does this site have to look like SB Nation?

Don't get my hopes up.

"and didn't even bother giving Collin a chance"

I bet @laurenei read this and smiled.

Jenna's also pretty awful.

You are definitely CBS's demographic…

Correct. Well, she's at worst 1a.

You must get Canadian TV! grr

TGW's "Ozymandias", obviously. Anyway, am I the only one who thought that Will-Kalinda dialogue wasn't that ridiculous?
