Seriously, this episode was thematically excellent. It's amazing how they pretty much everything went full circle. Down to Alih Jey's Pleasant Nightmare being the song being played by a character in the end credits.

Meow meow meow! Lisa's the best

Perhaps type in "Awkward" and then in the end, do a replace all with "Awkward." so you don't have to disable auto-correct (which is quite useful in Word)?

Says everyone, ever. TMP is not good.

The amazing part of this show is that Jenna interpreting Lacey's comments as the latter is so realistic. That's what makes Awkward. great.

It's what separates this show and a show like Bunheads from typical ABC Family (and MTV) fare.

If only Parks and Rec could do with Oren what Awkward.'s doing with Kyle.

You're right. But, a show's rating almost always drops from the first half-hour to the second. A better indication of ratings are 15 minute breakdowns (particularly if the second :15 is higher than the first :15), but that information is rarely available.

Although these "cult" shows that have potential second lives are always ones that skew young and in the highly educated, higher-income young professional/100k+ household market. That's why these smart shows like Cougar Town and Happy Endings had and will have second chances.

Offering it online would heavily diminish the value of syndication money.

I've always heard comparison of 2BG to Laverne and Shirley. And when I watch the show in that light (and assuage out all of the awful sexual puns and the diner scenes), the show ain't half-bad.

It's amazing how terrible Modern Family has become.

Nielsen is very flawed, but it's about as good as it'll get unless people at a large scale are willing to sacrifice privacy. And that's not happening.

Meh, the ratings are fine. 0.6 isn't that bad for a cable show, and the show is also one of the highest time-shifted shows watched.

People watch cheap garbage. I'm in the lower-mid-end of the 18-34 age bracket, and everyone I know raves about shows like The Voice.

*sings meiko's stuck on you in head repeatedly until Awkward. is back*

Well, only if the court turns a blind eye. Because if they don't, that's more money for that disgusting cult.

The last thing you need to do in these quarters is advertise The Americans…

That's not particularly fair. Premiere's will always attract more people, and ratings must always be contextualized by lead-ins. You remove the lead-in, you remove that spill-over that never really watched the show in the first place, but left it on a few moments.

Honestly, I think network TV could improve in a few ways:
1) Undercutting disruptors like Aereo by enabling live-streaming options, like done what NBC/FOX/TBS has done with various sports. A huge element of TV is the primacy of it, and the delivery of ads doesn't matter as long as they're being delivered.
