#natitude? (I hate this slogan, my two cents)

Out of my complete hatred for Italian football, forza Barca!

Or as well as it does for New Girl…

I completely agree, but George being whipped also isn't helping the show's comedic element. Suburgatory used to be must-see live TV, but now it's becoming more of a pleasant must-keep-up watch.

@stevelevets: Even though Season 7 was markedly different, I'll always view it in a more positive light — even considering how much is despise Chris as a character and how he became so prominent — because of the way ASP tanked the show at the end of Season 6. Plus the series finale was remarkably fitting (and good)

I "marathoned" through the entire series over the past week to re-acquaint myself (haven't watched the entire thing for maybe a year), and man was it well worth it. Lorelai — minus the relationship stuff — is the best.

@Mytly: Completely agreed, on both points. I'd try to come up with a drama example, but all of the dramas I watch (which are critically-acclaimed) have no stable lead couples essentially.

Merriweather is a creative genius. That is all.

Please say a (temporary) new reviewer brings good fortune to Suburgatory. The show hasn't been itself since they did the Gilmore Girls thing with separate adult and kid plots.

@Doberman: TWoP is the bane of human existence.

This episode was the best Season 4 episode of the season, perhaps even better than the "Ron Mexico" installment. Feels like the emotion behind Cougar Town is back.

The show is starting to find itself, at least. It just can't compete again New Girl at 9, but it's worth a watch. Curious to see what it's L+3 and L+7 ratings are.

Fact fact 1a: Almost everyone hated Scott Patterson. He was apparently a jerk to work with on set.

True that, but its overall 18-49 has been around ~0.4 with a total viewership of <1M, when the other scripted originals are averaging ~0.8 and >1M. That's what is concerning me, but I genuinely hope you're right.

More facetious question than not, but goodness forbid HE gets cancelled. Hopefully Lee comes to his senses.

A foreshadowing of thing to come, Coach coming back?

@Mytly: I wouldn't say that's totally true. Lots of examples in a bazillion TV shows where there are stable major couples. On the comedy side, there was Turk and Carla to foil JD and Elliot. On the dramedy side, Sooki and Jackson to foil Lorelai and whomever.

If NBC is going down the CBS path, at least there's HBO churning out Enlightened, Veep, and Girls.

I'll give you your two points, but I still adamantly disagree with your assertion that Mel + Boo = Sasha. It's not even close IMO. Sasha has so many layers to her personality that Mel and Boo together don't fill.

Must be a Disney thing.
