New Girl's ratings aren't that hot anymore, so it could be headed towards P&R/Community-syndrome soon. Luckily it's pretty much guaranteed to get to a Season 5 for syndication.

I agree with your conclusions about the endings of this episode's plots, although I don't find the issues with the conclusions as concerning as you do. The Chris-deal did feel forced, but I felt like it was more of an execution problem rather than an issue with intent.

[Casting call sent out… Eden Sher, anyone? (of course this isn't possible, but imagine a Sue Heck-like person to challenge Leslie]

@PolarBears: I don't really take any offense at all, I kinda just said that turn of phrase for effect.

@roare: That was my question when I asked for examples. Of those three shows, what are those plots?

Nothing is impossible in Pawnee. Besides getting rid of the raccoons, but they have their side of the town now.

To be fair, you seem the same way with New Girl. If I recall correctly, you're a pretty big defender of that show.

@roare @PolarBears Y'all misinterpreted my comment, and part of me takes huge offense to it (part of me also doesn't get how you think I don't think CT, HE, and New Girl aren't great hangout sitcoms when I JUST mentioned it above, so yeah, I take offense to the shit I'm getting below).

Examples? Of the top of my head, Cougar Town, HE, and New Girl don't really do the trick on that end. What other network sitcoms do the trick?

This show can be meh at times, but you can't ever finish watching this show (and hanging out with the characters in the world of Pawnee for 22 minutes) without grinning widely. That's what makes this show, among a handful (Happy Endings, Cougar Town, usually New Girl), great. Not all episodes can hit the best notes,…
