Holy cow that's a cool story. I've never heard of B. Travern (though I saw Treasure years ago), and I'm totally into it. Thanks for bringing it up.

Martin Starr: chameleon. Seriously, he looks like a different person every time I see him. Awesome.
So minus the new songs, a strong contender for the Least Essential year end list?
so does…
Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glenross count? Because that's pretty much the gold standard right there, even if it's now too famous and cliched. Or maybe that falls into the cameo side of things, because Baldwin was certainly a named, recognized actor.
a D?!
I'm shocked, SHOCKED at this.
@Felt Pelt: those were Battle Beasts.
is that it?
HELL no that ain't it. It's it when I say it's it!
And to this I shall add in Micronauts.
And Visionaries.
And MASK.
And Centurions.
And, just for kicks, a remake of Megaforce.
And whatever those small, metal army people were. They had moveable legs and arms, and I kind of think they were mostly gold uniforms. Those things.
I can live with the old graphics and game mechanics totally fine.
Abba. And Willie Nelson.
It didn't seem that weird at the time.
Good call. The bit would've been funny on it's own. Having done it on Chappelle's show was a whole other level.
maybe it's his voice
Because seriously- have you ever watched this show? Lopez is talking with a full rasp- his voice sounds like it's going to give out any minute.
What's best in life is ignoring the Red Sonja movie.
I like the ambiguity also. If he commits to it definitely being a prequel, people will complain about the aspects that don't match up. If it's totally separate, people will complain that he just ripped off Alien.
the Murmur cover
Anyone know the exact location of where the Murmur front cover was shot? I saw a small article about it once in Q Magazine or something (that gave specific directions) but can't find much now.
for me, it's not looking at the overall value ($16 for DVD and streaming isn't awful), but looking at it in comparison to what it currently is. NetFlix didn't just up the price, they almost doubled it.
you're right though- the total price increase per month is the cost of a drink at a bar.
That's up there. I'm a big fan of 'Vacation', and really like 'The Whole World Lost Its Head' too.
And it's got Parker Posey, so more bonus points there.
This thread is great just for the sheer fact of pointing out that previous thread that I missed. Excellent.
building a bridge
songs i forget ever existed, vol. 1: bridge to your heart.
